Internet DC-1 Form Available
- The system calculates the contribution for your deposit.
- The Internet DC-1 is filed in a single session with your contribution deposit.
- The Internet DC-1 provides you easy access to history records of your posted activity.
- The Internet DC-1 requires less time to complete, saves employers the cost of postage and envelopes, and saves the RRB the cost of printing forms.
- The system provides employers the option to make their Section 12(o) and 2(f) deposits on the Internet along with their payroll deposits.
- Technical support at the bank is provided by real people who are knowledgeable in the system.
To participate in the system, employers must authorize the RRB to release to the bank their contribution rate. The bank provides an easy way to execute this authorization on the system. US Bank protects your contribution rate and other Form DC-1 information as cautiously as all deposit information.

First Internet filer
Chuck Rodgers from the Kansas City Terminal Railroad (KCT) was the first person to file Form DC-1 on the Internet. Mr. Rodgers has been working at KCT since 1978 and has been in his present position for three years. Mr. Rodgers had high praise for the new system. He described the website as "Excellent, friendly, and a no-brainer to use".

New Benefit Year Begins
The new Railroad Unemployment Insurance Act (RUIA) benefit year will begin July 1, 2002 and will end June 30, 2003. To be qualified for RRB unemployment insurance (UI) and/or sickness insurance (SI), an employee must have $2625.00 in creditable railroad earnings in calendar year 2001, counting no more than $1050.00/month. If 2001 was the employee's first year of railroad work, he or she must also have railroad service in at least 5 months of 2001. Also, the maximum daily benefit rate for UI and SI benefits increases to $52.00 for registration periods beginning after June 30, 2002.
RRB Job Placement Service
The RRB operates a free job placement service with the primary purpose of helping experienced railroad workers find new employment. We encourage employers who have no web site to send their current job vacancies to the nearest RRB office for listing on the RRB website. Employers that have a website with a job vacancy listing should consider establishing a
link with the RRB site.
The RRB also maintains a Central Register listing of experienced railroad workers by craft. Contact your
nearest RRB office for a list.
2nd Request for Supplemental Tax Audit Information
The RRB conducted an audit of all supplemental annuities to determine if correct reductions were applied under Section 2(h)(2) of the Railroad Retirement Act (RRA) for employer pensions. We also want to determine if we credited your company with the correct amount for supplemental tax credits for months prior to and including December 2001.
Selected employers received Forms G-88p.1 or G-88p.2 with a notice attached dated December 19, 2001. Employers should complete the forms by reviewing the records of former employees who are receiving company pensions to see if our records accurately reflect the supplemental pension offset amounts. If you have already returned the information, thank you. If not, please send the information to us as soon as possible.
