For Union Officials
The RRB's Informational Conference Program was started by the Office of the Labor Member back in 1957. Conducted at the request of Chief Executives of the railway labor unions, this program was designed to provide local union officers comprehensive information about the benefits available to rail employees and their families under the railroad retirement and unemployment insurance systems. Union officers who attend our conferences become familiar with our benefit programs, and are better prepared to share accurate, reliable information with their members.
Informational Conference Program Booklet (January 2018)
Our field service representatives conduct each Informational Conference Program using a PowerPoint slide presentation examining the various benefits provided active, retired, and disabled rail workers and their families. Attendees receive a program booklet of this presentation with detailed side notes and fact sheets.
In addition to the program booklet, attendees receive a copy of the Informational Conference Handbook and a conference kit full of handouts and other helpful materials. Online and downloadable versions of items included in the kits are available on our Educational Materials webpage. Union officials may use the order form to request printed copies of conference materials.
